Right, so, I thought I’d write a little thing about questions I get often (so basically more than twice).
(I’ll add to this post as things come up, thanks for reading)
Q: Are you guys remaking a battle network game? Is it just the net battling?
A: We’re not really remaking any of the games. It is just the battles. The game will contain a variety of challenges, bosses and viruses made by us. There is progression through the game, though.
Q: Will there be a story?
A: As of right now, no. No story. There will be instructions, though. And I haven’t decided whether your netnavi will actually be able to say too much.
Q: What engine and tools are you guys using?
A: Game engine: Unity version 4.3. Tools: For 3D - Blender. For 2D - Paint.NET.
Q: Will there be other playable netnavis?
A: Yes. Definitely.
Q: Will _____ appear in the game?
A: Yes! No. Maybe. I could answer these questions and tell you what I’m planning to do but wouldn’t it be much more exciting to just kinda see an update here and find a pleasant surprise (however, do suggest characters and viruses as they do usually skew what I plan to put in)?
Q: Will there be online multiplayer?
A: As much as I want to say yes, online multiplayer is quite a large step and it would take even more time. I’ll answer with “Maybe, but not in the initial version.”
Q: Is there going to be a Starforce mode that changes the camera?
A: Probably not, it looks pretty bad because of the way the animations, effects and poses are made to be looked at sideways.
Q: Will there be a netnavi creator/customizer?
A: Nope, but you’ll be able to modify Mega Man a bit in… certain ways.
Q: What kind of specifications are we looking at here? Do I need a strong computer?
A: I can’t be sure until the game’s properly tested by many people but I do not believe you need any kind of powerful computer to run this game. We’re not pushing any kind of benchmark with this project, ha.
